In 2021, the theatre celebrates its bicentenary, and to mark the occasion, the Royal Academy of Music is launching an award dedicated to the theatre’s contribution to world music culture.

The award will recognise and reward the talented and dedicated artists who have helped to make the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the world centre of opera.
